FAQ

Thank you for adhering to and understanding our policies. With classes frequently waitlisted, it's crucial to ensure that fully booked classes stay that way for the benefit of both our members and instructors.

Late cancellations and no-shows disrupt the flow for everyone involved. To create the best environment for you, other members, and our staff, there will be no exceptions to our late-cancel and no-show policy.

  • What is Cut + Flow?

Cut + Flow Studio is a boutique fitness studio that offers two different fitness modalities, or workouts. We offer heated and non-heated yoga classes and Slow Resistance Training on the XFormer. Our mission is to help people establish and grow their self worth and self confidence through group fitness.

Can I do a class if I’ve never worked out before?

Yes! All classes are all-levels (unless otherwise stated) and modifications can be made for every yoga pose and each move performed on the XFormer. Come ready wearing clothing comfortable to exercise in.

Can I do XFormer or yoga classes if I have had past injuries?

As long as you have been cleared to exercise by a physician, then yes! Both strength training and yoga are proven ways to increase your strength, stability, and flexibility which speed up the recovery process and lessen the impact past injuries have on our daily lives.

Do you offer beginner friendly classes?

While all classes are all-levels, we do offer two beginner friendly classes including Beginner Yoga and XFormer Foundations. Check the schedule to see when those classes are offered.

What should I bring to class?

Yoga class: yoga mat, towel (recommended), and water

XFormer class: grip socks, towel (recommended) and water

We have a water bottle fill station and waters for purchase.

  • How do I schedule a class?

You can book classes and manage your account all through our website or app. Click here to create your account.

    Download app for iOS

    Download app for Android

What time should I arrive for class?

If it’s your first class at Cut + Flow, please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can get you properly set up for class. If you cannot make it 10 minutes early for your first XFormer class, we may ask you to reschedule so we can properly set you up for success.

Otherwise, please arrive at least 5 minutes before class to get physically and mentally ready for class.

Where can I park when I come for class?

Beardslee Village has plenty of free parking from 90 minutes to 3 hours with two parking garages, with one located directly off of Beardslee Blvd (accessible when driving south), and the other on the upper level of the retail center.

What if I’m late to class?

We’d like for you to arrive 5 minutes before class to settle in. If you’re more than 5 minutes late to the start of class, your spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist if they are present at the studio.

    How does the waitlist work?

You can sign-up for a waitlisted class up to 2 hours before the class. In the app, a class with a waitlist will say “Waitlist Only” instead of “Reserve”. Click “Waitlist Only” to add yourself to the waitlist. You can see your position on the waitlist by selecting your class reservation and check the “Reservation Status”. If a spot opens up more than 2 hours before the start of class, you’ll be automatically enrolled and will receive a confirmation email. If you do not make it off the waitlist and into the class, your class credit or membership use will return to your account.

Keep in mind that by putting yourself on the waitlist, you acknowledge that you will be able to take the class if you get in automatically. If you no longer want the spot on the waitlist, you can remove yourself at any time without penalty. If you make it off a waitlist before the 2-hour automatic enrollment closes and cancel less than 12 hours in advance, it will count as a late cancel and fees or the loss of the class credit will apply.

    Cancellation Policy:

    For unlimited and introductory members:

No penalty for class changes and cancellations made at least 12 hours before the start of class. Classes changed or canceled within the 12-hour cancellation window will be considered a “late cancel” and incur a fee of $15. Class no-shows incur a fee of $25 dollars.

    For limited members:

No penalty for class changes or cancellations made at least 12 hours before the start of class. Late cancels made within the 12 hour cancellation window and no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the class credit.

    Single classes and class packages:

No penalty for class changes or cancellations made at least 12 hours before the start of class. Late cancels made within the 12 hour cancellation window and no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the class credit.

  • Are the XFormer classes like Pilates?

While there are some similarities, this workout is very different. We utilize the Slow Resistance Training method on the XFormer to provide a total body strength conditioning workout. This workout enhances the benefits of weight training and core strength using controlled spring tension.

Are grip socks required for XFormer classes?

Yes, grip socks are required for all XFormer classes for safety reasons. All introductory special offers come with a FREE pair.

Can I join a group class even if I have never done an XFormer class before?

Yes. Group classes will have people at all levels of fitness and each person will be challenged within their own abilities. Our expert instructors will help you to modify or adjust any exercise to meet your unique needs. You must arrive at least 10 minutes before your first class to receive a demo of the XFormer.

How often should I take class?

We recommend strength training with the XFormer 3-4 times per week for optimal results. In general, we recommend taking 24 hours between strength workouts. The workout is designed to achieve muscular failure, so you’ll need time to properly recover. We recommend taking yoga classes between your strength classes. Perfect balance!

I am new to strength training. Are there modifications I can make during the class?

Definitely. There are several different ways we can modify any exercise on the XFormer from decreasing the resistance level, changing the range of motion, and adjusting the position on the XFormer.

Vinyasa, Hatha, Sculpt, and Core + Flow classes are all heated to about 85 degrees. All other classes are kept around 75 degrees.

I have never done yoga before, can I just join in any class?

While all classes are all-levels, if it is your first time taking a yoga class we recommend you start with our Beginner Yoga class, Hatha, or a Slow Flow class, as Vinyasa classes tend to be a faster-paced class. Modifications will be offered by yoga instructors to suit your body’s needs and ability level.

  • How do memberships work?

Monthly memberships include a 3-month initial commitment and go month-to-month after the initial 3-month period is completed. We also offer 12-Month Memberships during special promotions and offer savings for committing to 12 months of membership. All monthly membership payments are automatically made from your billing information on file on a monthly recurring basis.

Which membership is right for me?

It depends! Start by deciding how many times per week you’d like to take class. If it’s 3 or more times per week, the unlimited memberships are the best option. If it’s 3 or less times per week, you could consider a limited membership. Then decide if you’d like your membership to include XFormer + Yoga, XFormer only, or Yoga only, and you’ll find the perfect membership for you.

Why the initial 3-month commitment on monthly memberships?
